Board of Directors
Angie Boone
Angie has served on the Board of TPOA for5 years holding positions of Director, Vice President, and currently President. She has a background in business, and as the Associations newly elected president has visions of unity and transparency. Angie brings new ideas, and new ways of doing things to the table, and is a true asset to our community.
Erskine Blount
Erskine has served in the capacities of Director and President. Erskine has many accomplishments under his belt, including major projects such as getting the State DOT to take over West Tanglewood Drive. This resulted in a tremendous savings for the community, as the DOT is responsible for road maintenance. Erskine also led other projects which included bringing neighbors together to chip in to pave some of our private roads. Another big accomplishment was replacing our crumbling boat ramp.
Kevin Knoernschild
Kevin has a background in Engineering and is a proud Virginia Tech fan. He has brought many new ideas and ways of doing things to the Treasure position in his 10 years on the board. He recently implemented a credit card payment process to enable members to pay their annual dues via credit card.
Linda Symington
Linda has served on the board for 10 years in the capacity of Director and Secretary. Linda is detail oriented and brings order and the voice of reason to our board meetings. Linda also brings new ideas and ways of doing things to the secretary position.
Rodney Baker
Rodney has served on the board for 5 years. His responsibilities include general maintenance and Pond management.
Doug Haggins
Doug has served on the board for 10 years as Director and Vice President. Doug takes on many projects including Pond maintenance, Pier Door replacement, Sink and Running water at the picnic shelter, and assisting with maintenance of the security system and computers.
Steve Hill
Steve has served on the board for 10 years, and is the instrumental leader on our security system and highly knowledgeable on By-Laws, Covenants, and General Statutes. Steve is a critical part of the board
Mitch Edmondson
Mitch is a first-year Director on the board, and brings many years of experience in concrete, boat ramps, construction, and heavy equipment. Mitches responsibilities include road maintenance and boat ramp improvements.
Doug McElveen
Doug McElveen isa vital part of the board. Doug has been on the board for 8 years serving as director. His responsibilites include Pier and Boat Ramp maintenance as well as garbage collection for the common areas.
